Backup Storage 2026 Upgrades Node 1 Complete

Behind the scenes at Dataforge. Storage upgrades and refreshes are important.

Today we completed a refresh of various drives in our primary backup array. The process involved looking closely at our current drive statistics in order to understand which drives are getting near end of life. Even marginal drives were replaced due to the current supply issues in the industry. Once identified, we can load in the new drives and allow the system to copy the data. We do one drive at a time in order to keep the load balanced for customers. The process allows un-interrupted usage of the storage node while upgrades are occurring.
